We support survivors and their families with everyday needs—from shelter and housing to employment and legal advocacy. We connect clients to community resources to ensure continuity of care and a successful healing process. Our goal is for every survivor to receive the support they deserve, from the immediate crisis to the long-term.
Along with referrals, we help clients directly by providing information (i.e. human trafficking resources), accompanying to court and helping complete paperwork, like the Crime Victims’ Compensation (CVC) and Address Confidentiality Program, to name a few.

When responding, whether it is a crisis call or after the fact, an advocate will assess the individual’s needs and empower them to determine next steps (medical care, legal assistance, shelter, etc.). Additionally, advocates provide emotional support, safety planning, and explain services offered by Safe Place and other community partners.
