Direct Service Volunteer Opportunities
Hospital Response Team: Responds to survivors at the hospital to provide information and support.
Support Group facilitators: Assists with planning and facilitating support groups.
Direct Service Assistant: Is available for on call hours to support loved ones of survivor, bring extra supplies to calls as needed, and respond to multiple survivors
Childcare: Provide childcare while parents attend support groups and workshops. Location will vary depending on need in each county. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know amazing children while allowing their parents to continue their healing process.
Indirect Service Volunteer Opportunities
Senior Volunteer: Participates in training direct service volunteers, assists in role plays, and helps coordinate training opportunities.
Supply Manager: Inventories SA materials, copies and puts together materials for sexual assault response and trainings , stocks intake packets, and completes other organizational tasks as needed.
Community Liaison:Tables at events, puts up outreach materials, distributes backpacks and paper bags to community partners, assists in SA Awareness Month activities and events, and has availability to pick up donations and paper bags and drop off at offices
Social Media Assistant: Assists in writing Safe Place blog posts and Facebook posts, finds and sends relevant articles to Safe Place staff, and assists in taking photos for Safe Place social media
Research Assistant: Assists in researching and compiling research for SP trainings and technical assistants, stays up to date on sexual assault in the media and local news sources and forwards relevant information to SP staff, assists in putting together presentations and community trainings, and research policy and law changes
Baking: Making bake goods for events or presentations
